Organza-Shade Chandeliers

Something’s dressing up chandeliers in a way that Mom and Grandma may not have: Beautiful, translucent organza and other sheer shades. The layered look jazzes up traditional fixtures, like this teal-shade chandelier from Bellacor or this black beauty from We Got Lites.

Contemporary fixtures like Shade’s of Light’s Urban Shade Chandelier are designed layered with sheer or mesh shades, or with the shade as an option.

This two-tiered shade pendant from We Got Lites can be dressed with clear European or Swarovski crystals in 4 configurations:

Somehow I love the idea of a floor-lamp chandelier like this one from Lamps USA:

So do these “layered chandeliers” light you up, or leave you in the dark?

I have a 3 arm wrought iron chandelier and I’m looking for a large shade to go over it to update the look of the light. Is this possible?
the look i have in mind is similar ‘Shade’s of Light’s Urban Shade Chandelier’ but i’m just looking for the shade part.
can you let me know if this has been done before? i look forward to hearing from you. Great website.
