Makeover — Chair with Original Fabric

It’s splendid when our creative pursuits overlap. Like with Liz Scott’s chair makeover project– Liz didn’t have to look far to find the perfect fabric. The Los Angeles graphic artist’s alter ego is designer of original fabrics that she prints at Spoonflower.

“I found an old castaway chair frame at a garage sale for $5 and painted the wood an off-white (Ralph Lauren Edwardian Linen to be exact),” said Liz. “Then I recovered the…plywood and foam seat with one of my original upholstery weight fabrics.”

The fabric is Summer Flowers,” one of the chic designs that Liz sells at Wonderfluff, her Etsy shop. It’s printed on the 100% cotton sateen upholstery fabric that Spoonflower started offering a few months back.
