Tiring of that plain-vanilla IKEA armchair? Or when the neighbors come for dinner, does that pasta stain make you shuffle your dining chairs?

Designers Guild Barcelona Crocus Slipcover and Sagrada Blossom and Lime Cushion Slipcovers

For many years, I’ve been a devoted fan of Tricia Guild and her team’s fearless use of color in its designs. I remember devouring Guild’s first design book in kaleidoscopic intoxication.

Designers Guild Castellar Indigo Slipcover and Sagrada Aqua and Barcelona Cobalt Cushion Slipcovers

BEMZ ships to many countries, including the U.S. Nearly all of its slipcovers are machine washable. (Excellent – put on that pot of pasta!)

First Marimekko, and now Designers Guild. Love what you’re up to over there, BEMZ!

What a fun way to personalize in a new way! I was impressed when Marimekko jumped on this concept and I suppose it makes sense that where Marimekko goes, others will follow. I espeically love the quilted effect in the blue fabric. Who do you think will be next to design coordinating fabrics for Ikea?

Hi Sonu,

Such an affordable way to incorporate designer patterns in a space, isn’t it? That patchwork-quilt-look fabric is a colorful example of the resurgence of traditional handicraft elements in a contemporary decor – I think it adds a level of comfort to a room, don’t you? Good question about who will be next….What do others think?

Thank you for the coverage and for the positive feedback! So glad you have picked up on the pros of the Bemz business concept: personalized furniture without the personalized price tag; designer style available to everyone; and, machine washable which means the whole family can enjoy them.
We are always looking for feedback with regards to what fabrics our customers would most like to see added to our range so any suggestions are most welcome! Send an email to me at blog [at] bemz [dot] com or post a comment on our blog, It’s a Cover Up.
Also, fyi: we have now significantly reduced our shipping costs to the US to $20.
Happy shopping everyone and thanks again!
