Imageglow Design Challenge Update

Three Hundred Eighty Five

We had this idea. We thought we’d ask you to submit new designs for a unique and fashionable type of candle. And that a few artists would get jazzed, create something and upload their artwork.

A few.

So we told you all about it, and you listened.

First, Zena from Oxford hit us with her Elvis design. Then Irfan from Rajkot, Gujarat, India entered his beautiful sketch.

Patrick from Burlington, Vermont sent his mesmerizing mandala. And Adriana from Bucharest, Romania wowed us with her “Earthy Flowers” series.

Entries poured in from 42 countries, and 21 U.S. states.

Colorful, creative, striking, touching. It was thrilling to see each new entry and to feel the locale where it was created. The diversity of the artwork was incredible. You’ll enjoy scrolling through and seeing them all. And many, many designs would look fabulous when backlit by an Imageglow flame.

In the end, we received 385 entries! (Thanks to my nine year-old daughter for illustrating that in paint above.)

Right now our panel of expert judges in the fields of graphic arts, home decor, product and textile design, retail sales and buying — are laboring over the superhuman task of narrowing the field to three.

Yup, three.

Starting Monday, March 22, you’ll get to choose the winner of the Imageglow Design Challenge, as you cast your votes on your favorite art from the three top designs.

Can’t wait to see who wins!

Thanks to all you incredible artists and designers that participated. You are so talented.

We’ve got lots more fun, creative and rewarding Challenges coming soon. So keep watch, and subscribe over at that purple couch in the sidebar, to our email newsletter, Design Junkies Journal.
