Ta-Da! SeeItYourWay Challenge Results
SeeItYourWay Kitchen Design Challenge
What a blast we had designing our kitchens. For weeks now, the Design Junkies have been clicking around choosing cabinets, appliances and flooring. They’ve been picking out tiles, lighting and more.
We enjoyed reading about what people wanted in a kitchen and why they made their choices. Heather carefully chose products and finishes for her upcoming kitchen renovations, Vanessa found a super tile for her kitchen floor.
Diane made the virtual kitchen her husband never would have gone for, Bayla made sure she’d have space for her baking, and Robin snagged her Viking range. And Rachel, well Rachel was downright poetic about her romantic kitchen by the sea. You can read the original Challenge post and see all the entries here.
For the past week, you have been voting for the best combined kitchen design and description. The results are in and he winner is: Debbie Perkins from Sandy, Utah!. That’s Debbie’s classic black and white kitchen above and here is how she described it:
“I won’t have my own home for a while, (not until my husband finishes pharmacy school) so this was a fun way to envision my dream kitchen. I love the contrast of the black and white and the stainless steel appliances. It’s very modern and beautiful. I would love to cook in this kitchen! Thanks for considering me!”
Debbie was followed in second place by Michelle from Providence, Rhode Island:
“I have always wanted to design my kitchen the way I want, but it gets a bit tough when you can’t see it in front of you. Then you need to sit there with swatches and samples and hope it will match when it is all put together. SeeItMyWay allows you to do everything online, and you can play around until it comes out just right!”
And in third place by Esther from Lakewood, New Jersey:
I like the open space with a combo of a modern look and the warm/old style kitchen colors.
So Debbie, I hope you’ve got some decorating plans for your $100 prize! Maybe start a fund for your future kitchen, or perhaps pick up a few gallons of paint to spiff up your current place. Please email me your mailing address so I can send the prize your way.
Thanks to everyone for your participation and your enthusiasm. I can’t wait to see your tastes and talents applied on more Challenges!
