Marimekko Wallpaper is Back
Marimekko and wallpaper. Much news about each lately, now they’re together.
It’s been many years since wallpaper was available in designs by Marimekko, the Finnish company celebrated for its bold, graphic fabrics. Hooray! Marimekko just introduced a wallpaper collection, and it’s available in the U.S. through AlwaysMod.
According to AlwaysMod, “Demand for Marimekko to reintroduce their wallpaper has soared recently as more and more designers have turned towards the use of patterns and color when designing a space. Marimekko heard their pleas and is partnering with Italian company Sirpi to produce this new collection of vinyl wallpapers.
“The new Marimekko wallpaper collection features some of the most well-known Marimekko patterns as well as a number of more recent designs from young, popular artists. Initially, we will offer 11 prints for quick-ship, but we’ll be adding more patterns soon.
“If you have a favorite pattern and don’t see it just let us know. (There are a total of 56 patterns – so almost all patterns you see in our fabric section are represented).”
Chad at AlwaysMod said some of the most popular patterns ordered so far are the Unikko in Beige (left) and two colorways for the Biloba (right).
I’m crushin’ on these silvery-grey, forest-inspired beauties, Lumimarja (left) and Stilla (right).
Oh, and don’t forget to get the kiddos design on with Bo Boo.
