Dodger Stadium Seats Go On Sale
Got a Man Cave to furnish? Or are you looking for an awesome Father’s Day gift? A limited number of Los Angeles Dodger Stadium seats are now available at S&S Seating. Popular with fans and memorabilia collectors who want to own a piece of stadium history, the seats make a wicked addition to the sports room, the home theater, or lounge.
After the 2005 season, Dodger Stadium in Chávez Ravine underwent major renovations including the replacement of nearly all the stadium seats. Of the 56,000 seats removed in 2005, only 2,000 pairs were made available to the public. Fans that missed their chance in 2005 can now buy Dodger Stadium seats.
Blue, gold, red and orange seats are available. Also available are rare blue Spirit seats, which are oversized padded seats, and rare floor-mount seats in the Gold color. All memorabilia seats come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Since its inaugural game on April 10, 1962, Dodger Stadium has hosted eight World Series Championships and has seen pitchers such as Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Don Sutton, Fernando Valenzuela, and Orel Hershiser become superstars after arriving in Los Angeles. 10 no-hitters have been thrown in the stadium, including two perfect games (by the Dodgers’ Sandy Koufax in 1965, and by Dennis Martínez of the former Montreal Expos in 1991). Bo Belinsky threw the first ever no-hitter in Dodger Stadium on May 5, 1962 while pitching for the Los Angeles Angels (that club referred to the park as “Chavez Ravine”).
Salvaging stadium seating is S&S’s specialty; seats from these stadiums are also available:
- Mets Shea Stadium
- Comiskey Park – Chicago White Sox
- Busch Stadium seats and bench
- Tiger Stadium – Tiger Den seats
- Texas Stadium – Dallas Cowboys
- Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium
- RCA Dome
