Challenges Update — Mmmmmm, Coffee

It’s early on in building our community here (though I am jazzed about the quick growth so far!). I’m talking with talented folks and I have some great topics brewing up for you. But when it comes to our first Challenges design junkies, it’s time for a little incentive. The first Challenge deadline is Wednesday, April 8, in just a few days. To be part of the Ta-Da! wrap up post, you need to upload a photo and your description of your project by then.

So (are you sitting down?) I’m offering up one of these hip and envy-worthy coffee mugs (or tea or hot chocolate or hot-toddy mugs) to a randomly drawn winner from the participants of each of our first four Challenges. That’s four of these puppies up for grabs! You could win them all and have the gal-pals over for tea. (Don’t you just love the new logo that Sara at Sadie Olive put together for me?)

It’s an incredible opportunity; you can be one of the first few humans on the planet to possess such a vessel for caffeine. I know you are jumping down from that fence and sprinting to gather supplies, so here’s a reminder of and links to the open projects:

  • Challenge # 1: Design and make a piece for your home using a map of a special place. Due Wednesday, April 8.
  • Challenge # 2: Draw your own design for a small piece of fabric for use in your home. Due Wednesday, April 15.
  • Challenge # 3: Make over a piece for your home with a metallic finish. Due Wednesday, April 22.
  • Challenge # 4: Plant a spring container garden in an interesting container. Due Wednesday, May 13.

It may be the first time you have entered a Challenge, so if you have questions or need any help with submitting your Entry, no problem, just let me know.

Thanks for your creativity and enthusiasm!
