Modern Furniture Marketplace
Cruisin’ for a pair of Mid Century Modern Knoll Chairs? You can buy this pair at Lushpad.
Desperate to unload your George Nelson for Herman Miller Marshmallow Sofa? Someone at Lushpad wants to buy it. Yummy, I think I want one too.
If your furniture tastes lean toward Mid-Century Modern, or if you just want to learn more about pieces from that timeframe, you should definitely check this site out. Launched this past October, Lushpad bills itself as the “Buy and Sell Marketplace for Modern Collectors.”
And while it is still growing its inventory of listings, it’s a great resource for those who love all things modern, and want to save some time hunting around. Lushpad also aims to educate buyers and collectors and help them “clear through the clutter” of the mix of authentic and lookalike pieces that “vie for our attention.” Site resources include:
- Articles about design classics
- Collecting know-how and furniture care
- Profiles of designers, artists and architects
- Manufacturer overviews
Lushpad offers mostly furniture and some art. I even spied some retro cocktail shakers, “Darren, can I fix you a Martini? Mother is popping in soon.”
Do you collect Mid-Century Modern? Tell us what moves you about that era.
